The Land Of Tovoros
Regions
Shadow Isle
Largely desolate with some volcanic activity. This is the origin of the Dark Lord Malvothrax. Atop the tallest mountain, Sable Spire, sits the Dead Tower. A large structure whose facade is styled to look like a looming skull with burning eyes. No one knows how the fires in the eyes stay lit, as no one has entered the Tower for one thousand years. From here, the necromancer Crazular amassed her power.
Ivoxis
Home to many sailors and seafaring adventurers, it is said that those who live here are born with saltwater in their veins. Skyships were invented here, and function with a mix of magic and engineering. Trade routes between the mainland and distant lands exist here, and are often the target of both pirates and skyrates, wyvern riding marauders who attack local skyships.
Winterheim
The Nevermelting Expanse. A frozen land, ruled over by Lord Glacius. Glacius has been the King Of Frost for nearly two thousand years, when he usurped the throne from his father in combat. Most of the population are creatures made of snow and ice. The Snowman Guard protects the capital city, hidden behind a wall of ice. Frost Giants wander the southern edge of the province, occasionally passing beyond the borders.
Lelanaes
Home to many elves, and the source of most of the land's learning of the magical and arcane. Magic is treated as both an academic discipline and a form of art. After an apocalyptic amount of magical energy was used to combat Malvothrax, many years ago, a portion of this land sunk into the ocean. Centuries later, the residents resurfaced as merpeople and creatures of the deep.
Wespring
A highly populated province with much trade and a mix of many different races. It is the home to the throne of King Reynard the Bold, fourth of his name. The Questlords originate from here and their headquarters sits across the same wide lake as the king's castle. The lake in the north of this province is said to hold some mysterious magical power, though few know its true nature.
Cleras
For those who prefer to rely on the divine, rather than the sword or the arcane, this is their home. The Silverhill Paladins hail from here and are named after the province's capital city. On the island to the northeast of the province sits The Needle, an immensely tall tower whose ancient origins were lost to time. Some say that the seamstress who wove the skies pricked herself with a needle and it then fell to the ground. Others believe that an ancient race built the tower to see the gods with their own eyes. No one knows for sure, but the tower itself is home to many libraries, schools and religious sites.
Holmlond
The western side of this region is full of abundant farmland while the east, surrounding the main river and its' streams are an unkempt forest. Many rangers and hunters learn their skills here, pursuing dangerous beasts within the thick trees. Some of the population have managed to make decent sized cities among the trees by building interconnected treehouses and wooden towers.
Vindaruhm
Home to dwarves and mountain folk. A large winding network of mines exists beneath tall mountains. There, workers mine and toil away for precious and rare metals. On the surface, carvers and builders create both fantastic works of art and deadly weaponry, including magic crystal weapons. The first functional handgun was made here, and many have been made since.
Qalzinar
Tropical area with thick jungle surroundings, home to a range of warm regions. While the northern edge is lush and green, towards the south, the region becomes a desert-like area, with few cities and fewer safe areas to live. Many of the population are a rough sort of folk, who know that sometimes to surviving means leaving the slow and burdensome behind in a sandstorm.
